Dieses Ferienhaus liegt im alten Weiler "La Rocca", der auf das 11. Jahrhundert zurückgeht und ein Raststätte für Pilger und Ritter auf dem Weg in das Heilige Land war. Der Besitzer hat diese am Rande des kleinen Dorfes liegende Ruine vor kurzem erworben und sie nach der Orginalstruktur und mit alten Materialien wie handgemachte Terracotta-Fließen und Holzbalken wieder aufgebaut. Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet worden und verfügt über einen Entspannungsraum mit Whirlpool. Das Esszimmer ist ganz im Stil der mittelalterlichen Ritter mit Rüstungen und Orginal-Dekorationen eingerichtet worden. Das Haus hat atemberaubende Aussichten auf die Landschaft der Garfagnana, eine sehr schöne und noch nicht touristische Gegend nördlich von Lucca. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderer, die kleine Dörfer und romanische Kirchen entdecken möchten. Besonders beeindruckend ist der Blick vom Pool (3,5 x 10 m)

The property is extremely well kept and you have everything you would need. We loved the garden, and the spectacular views. It is a peaceful, enchanting place.

We spent an amazing week at Gran Burrone! It is such a beautiful house in beautiful surroundings, and we enjoyed days by the pool, eating dinner at the patio, and nightly baths in the Jacuzzi. Gran Burrone lived up to an beyond our expectations.
