Description
This lovely restored Barn is part of the beautiful Compignano estate. Entry is down a private road and the property comprises three residences, sharing a 6x12 meter swimming pool and 10 acres of gardens, olive groves and fruit trees The farm, in the foothills of the Apuan Alps, is within the woodlands of a National Park and from there the views extend as far as the sea to the west. Once a real agricultural barn, Compignano Barn is placed in a dominant position, 20 metres from the large farmhouse, closer to the shared pool, but with its own separate part of the garden. The first floor consists of one single, spacious room with both cooking and living area, where a group may prepare and have their meal together. The area opens onto a furnished terrace offering the guests an opportunity for unforgettable outdoor eating. From the bedrooms, each with private bathroom, it is possible to access a very lovely covered veranda, from which there are wonderful views of the surrounding hills.

We had a fantastic week at this property, the views are stunning, super pool and gardens, the peace amazing, you won't find this place with sat nav but follow the instructions and it's easy, great for visiting Lucca buy car and Florence by train. The road in is a little hairy but you get used to it, the local manager Roberto has no English so be prepared for sign language, The property is brilliant, bedrooms,bathrooms etc, but I will never understand a hand held shower, the kitchen could do with some upgrading the addition of a microwave would be nice also a new kettle and toaster are essential Villa comment

The villa is an excellent place to spend a romantic vacation. The view from the balcony is marvellous. It was a pleasure to spend our vacation there. And if there is nobody at the swimming pool, you can enjoy this perfect hideaway. There was no issue with the quality of property. Everything was clean as expected.

This villa is heaven on earth. The views are simply breathtaking. Getting to the villa is an adventure in itself, the access road is not for the feinthearted, but it is worth every breathtaking moment. This is a perfect locaton for those who like being away from everything and everyone. The villa is furnished with everything you could need, and the bathrooms add a touch of luxary. By far the best part are the balconys, of which there are two which offer the stunning views!
