Description
This house dates back to the seventeenth century and was originally built as a farm manager's house with wine cellars, stables and a hayloft for the Mansi-Bernardini estate. It has been tastefully converted into a villa with pretty countrystyle bedrooms on different levels and modern bathrooms and kitchen. The result is a farmhouse of a high standard situated on top of a hill, east of Lucca, with magnificent views over the plain below. The swimming pool is in a breathtaking position about 150 metres from the house. By the side of the pool there is a cabin with kitchenette and bathroom. There is a tennis court on the estate. The house has satellite TV, DVD and hi-fi system. The maid who takes care of the villa is also an excellent cook and, on request, she will cook local dishes for clients. Fattoria Mansi Bernardini office, on the estate, with English speaking staff, is at clients' disposal to give assistance.

Hi Jody and Barbara, I just wanted to let you know I've spoken with Mrs. Becker this week and she and her guests had a great time. They loved the property, she said the view from every window was stunning, the house was well appointed, cared for and was everything she hoped for and more. She even said - that as she thought back- it almost made her "tear up" it was so perfect. The staff, Monica and the others were there for every need and assisted her at every turn. Its always a bit of a "leap of faith" that a villa will live up to your clients expectations, that maintence keeps the property fresh and the support staff respond accordingly to immediate needs. So you can imagine how thrilled and relieved I was that this property "came thru" for us all. It will be at the top of my list for my next client to that area. Italy was fabulous -- I went in October for my 30th Birthday and of course, loved it so much, I went back for New Year's. The villa we rented in Segromigno in Monte, just outside of Lucca was gorgeous. 17th century farmhouse, surrounded by olive groves and grapevines, gravel paths and cypress trees in rows. Marcello is the owner; a veritably sweet italian agriculturist, and the Fattoria-Mansi-Bernardini villas (there are five homes for vacation rental on the estate) are managed by the very kind Monica. Agnese was our housekeeper and she made my birthday dinner for me, complete with the most amazing tiramisu I've ever had.
