Description

The Versilia coast is a corner of Italy stretching along the Tyrrhenian sea, internationally renowned for its sandy beaches, night clubs and good restaurants, as well as for the Puccini Opera Festival.

L’Olivella is conveniently located half way between this attractive area and the Medieval town of Lucca, encircled by its imposing Walls and famous for the quality shopping and the several historic monuments. At same time the quiet and relaxing position on a hillside makes the property the ideal hideaway  for families or small groups looking for peace and tranquility.

Unpretentious and comfortably equipped, the interiors are  furnished in a simple country style, and every bedroom has its own bathroom. A particular feature is the front covered veranda, furnished for al fresco dining, where to relax slowing down time, just accompanied by birds sounds or  cricket chirping.

The swimming pool (11X4,5) is set in a sunny position at the side of the house.

The resident guardians live in a separate part of the property, with their own entrance and in no way interfere with client’s privacy.

Very nice house for a lovely getaway in the countryside. all good and the twice weekly cleaning service was nice to have. No issues - cleaner noticed a problem with one shower and owner had it fixed the next day so that was good service

If you're looking for the true Tuscan experience, this is it! Nestled into the hillside of a small local village, you get the real feeling of old Tuscany. Walking distance to great coffee bar and small grocery. Also close driving to several larger towns with a selection of wonderful restaurants, and a short drive to outstanding beaches with all the tourist facilities and amenities, if that's what you're after.

Beautiful villa with enough space for the 7 of us. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows if needed. The bathrooms were fine - all were working well. Lots of water pressure and hot. The property was maintained beautifully and the housekeeper came twice during the week with were there. The area was absolutely beautiful. However, if you have a large van the roads seem a little small. The road is winding up the hill but once you arrive you just don't want to leave. Dining al fresco was so relaxing but there was the occasional mosquito. The pool was very clean and the position allowed for a beautiful view of the mountains. Small village, narrow roads but convenient to autostrada and easy access to sightseeing in Lucca, Florence, Cinque Terra, Portofino, etc. Walter was very nice and made us feel welcomed. He stopped by to check to see if we needed anything and to clean the pool. My husband and I relaxed the entire week by the pool. However our son and his family went sightseeing everyday. There was a great restaurant that is a must to go to. Seating is outside and when it gets dark they show old movies on the outside walls. The restaurant overlooks the city and the view is amazing.
