Description
This beautiful property belongs to the Campalli estate, a huge farm of 750 acres that produces Chianti Classico wine, and includes the Castle of Campalli.The 360° view from each point on the estate ranges over endless rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves. On a clear day it is possible to see even the towers of San Gimignano in the distance. La Corte di Campalli is an impressive stone-built farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century. It takes its name from the striking internal courtyard around which it was built. The property was totally restored in 2002 by its discerning owners, who used authentic traditional materials of the area and equipped it with all modern facilities. The interiors are particularly airy and spacious, with doors both to the courtyard and to the garden. Guided tours of the estate and the castle, including Tuscan wine tasting, can also be arranged. Although in a secluded and quiet location, it is only 7 km away from a highway exit and therefore is also an ideal base for trips to the Chianti area and main Tuscan towns.

We could not recommend this property more highly. The owners are wonderfully gracious and helpful. We have rented several properties in Tuscany and this was the best by far. The pictures do not do it justice. It is close to everything, yet far enough from the highway and Autostrada that you feel isolated. Be certain to schedule a dinner with the private chef. She was wonderful!! The wine from the estate is also fantastic!

We were very pleased with La Corte, especially with the level of service provided by Simonetta, the owner. Comments are below -- Villa - wonderful vistas of surrounding olive groves and vineyards from all the bedrooms and living spaces! Ample room for 2 families, and we really enjoyed spreading out over the mulitiple living rooms. Dining room accomodated all 8 of us very comfortably, as did the outdoor dining table. Pool and lounge area had amazing view of surrounding hillside, with beautiful sunsets! The large grassy areas were also well used by all 4 of our kids. Configuration of bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms worked well for our group. Simonetta - extremely warm, hospitable and accomodating to our needs. She also went above and beyond our expectations when our son (age 8) cut open his chin on the pool coping. She drove with us to the hospital in Siena, translated as we checked into the ER, took us to the pharmacy, brought ice cream to the villa to help cheer him up... I was so touched by her efforts! We would definitely rent this villa again on a future return trip to Tuscany, and would highly recommend it to friends.

This is by far the best place we have stayed in during our visits to Tuscaany. It is wonderfully restored with great views and perfectly located for day trips Siena and Florence. I would highly recommend a home cooked meal...ours was excellent. Simonetta speaks excellent English and is very helpful.

The Villa, it's views and the area were stunning. The villa is up a 2 km untarmaced road so you should be careful if you have a sports car, but there is the advantage of privacy and peaceful surroundings.The hosts could not have done more to make our stay very memorable. We were a family including a 22month old.

Amazing property and area. The maid sesrvice was excecptional. Much better than expected. The location is excellent. Very close to Siena and lots of smaller towns that are worth exploring. We were actually overwhelmed when we arrived. It was much nicer than we expected. The pictures don't reflect how nice it is. Kitchen is perfect. Everything you would need is there. Pool water is cold, but refreshing. The kids loved it. The bathrooms were great expect some of the bathrooms showers were small. The owners were wonderful and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Lovely people.

We had a great time. Our hosts couldn’t have been nicer. The facility was very well kept, the pool refreshing. Campalli, as you know, is a winery with its vineyards. They also grow olives and wheat. It is a fairly comprehensive operation. The chief farmer’s wife is the chef. In a previous life, she was a caterer and is a fabulous cook. We had two incredible dinners and a very filing breakfast. It was first class. We had a terrific time and hope to use you again
