Description
This very attractive property is located in an exceptionally panoramic position among olive groves, in the hills between Lucca and the Versilia coast. The house was meticulously restored from what were formerly an olive mill and a barn, now connected by a large entrance hall and terrace. The result is an impressive stone-built building. Attention has been given to using only traditional materials. The interiors have been tastefully furnished with great care in a country yet elegant style. The house has also been equipped with all modern facilities and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The very well groomed garden and terraces offer the guests many lovely corners where they can sit outside and enjoy the views of the countryside. The swimming pool has a salted water filter system that avoids the use of chlorine. The location of the house, its efficient insulation, and the presence of ceiling fans in every bedroom ensure that the temperature at La Sorgente remains comfortable even during the hottest nights of the summer. A particular feature of this property is that two families or groups of adults can share it, while having private space and total independence from each other.

We have had the most wonderful family holiday in this marvellous house. The views and sense of peace relaxed everyone - from grandfather to the 4 year old. Apart from the odd trip to Lucca we felt no desire to leave!

La Sorgente was paradise in Tuscany.The Villa was very clean and comfortable. Our party of 10 loved all the little sitting areas which meant we had space to ourselves when we needed it. The pool was clean and in a lovely area to sit. The views from the house were stunning and the garden was lovely. We booked Morena for 3 meals which were excellent. Altogether we would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone. Party of 10 from Boulder (US), Calgary (Canada), Essex and Shropshire UK.

La Sorgente is a wonderful property in a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed our time. Our party of eight adults found that there was plenty of space for everyone, so no one felt crowded. It made a great base to explore Tuscany. I am extremely happy that we chose this property. We hired Morena to cook for us for two nights while we were there. She is a wonderful cook and great lady. The meals were superb! The villa is actually two buildings which are attached, There are two living room areas, and one kitchen. This is perfect for groups of people who don't necessarily want to do the same things at the same time, or simply want some "alone" time. It was very clean. The landscaping is outstanding. The location is exactly what we wanted. However, any renter should understand that the villa is out in the country, and can be a little challenging to find at first. I don't believe that the website does the property justice.

While we expected a wonderful villa from everything we had read and heard from you, we were totally unprepared for the sheer beautify of its location, high up in the hills surrounded by groves and the occasional Tuscan house here or there… And the lights of Lucca far in the distance at night shining between the hills… Magic! The villa is up to date in its amenities, fixtures, kitchen, hardware, pool – while fully preserving its Tuscan feel. We loved it. We also loved Morena’s cooking. We definitely recommend her.
