Description

This property is situated on the western side of Lake Maggiore in the beautiful park of “Lagoni di Mercurago”. From many points on the estate, especially from the large garden, it is possible to enjoy magnificent views of the lake and the medieval fortress of Angera on the opposite shore. A famous architect designed and built Villa Adriana in the 1960’s, and it has recently been restored and refurbished in a modern style. The interiors are spacious and light, with a varied range of colours, although white dominates. The house has been featured in several magazines that specialize in architectural design. Villa Adriana consists of a main circular section, containing a very large sitting room that was once a dance hall, and two wings with identical hallways leading to a large dining room and the bedroom area. The result is a house with a spectacular structure in the shape of an airplane.
