Description
Lucca se révèle d'abord par sa ceinture de remparts en brique rouge qui préservent la quiétude d'une ville au tracé urbain original, tantôt rectiligne autour du cœur romain, tantôt sinueux dans le quartier médiéval. Sur des places tranquilles, les églises aux façades richement ornées dans le style romano-pisan attestent le goût oriental des négociants de soie au Moyen-Age. Lieu de haute tradition musicale - c'est la patrie de compositeurs comme Giacomo Puccini, Lucca attire les mélomanes aux festivals de musique qui se déroulent en ses murs au printemps et en été. C'est au cœur de la ville, à 50 m de la tour Guinigi, l'une des attractions les plus célèbres de Lucca, que se trouve cet appartement. Situé en mezzanine comme son nom l'indique, Il mezzanino est aménagé entre le rez-de-chaussée et le premier étage (piano nobile) dans bâtiment d'époque, entièrement restauré. Il possède des équipements moderne tels qu'une télévision satellite, une chaîne stéréo et une connexion Internet par wi-fi, un lave-linge, un lave-vaisselle et le téléphone. L'appartement, qui a également fait l'objet d'une restauration, offre des prestations de grande qualité.

What a wonderful week in Lucca and in this apartment. The list of restaurants and other information was enormously helpful. We can’t remember a week of such incredible meals. It was lovely to be at a distance from the crowds we encountered in Florence and in the Cinque Terre towns.

The apartment is an easy one flight up to a spacious living room, very comfortably furnished.The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment was immacutalety clean with nice touches such as individual packaged soaps, fresh flowers on the table, and a bottle of red wine as a welcome.I would highly recommend it.

This lovely apartment is tucked into an offshoot of tiny Piazza San Gregorio, close, but not too close, to the Via Fillungo, the main shopping/passeggiata street of Lucca. Everything in the apartment is in excellent shape, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. And immaculately clean. The kitchen is more than usable. We like to cook, and rarely missed a pot or pan. It is our tird time there and it's pretty wonderful. I'm sure we will stay at Il Mezzanino again.
