Chocolate Festival in Lucca

Cioccolato San ValetinoIf you haven’t thought yet to last minute Valentine’s escape, Lucca might be a very interesting place this year. Take a trip, and rent a holiday apartment in the charming historic center of this magic town, and you will be jumped in the sweetest dream.

Milk, fondant, traditional, special or with particular ingredients… The time of chocolate is in Lucca, from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th February, in an appealing square, Piazza Napoleone, which will become the place of the sweetest vice.

About ten Masters-producers will transform Napoleon Square in open-air Fabric of Chocolate made of stands covered by any kind of delicious sweets and irresistible delicacies. The exhibition will be accompanied also by several events and entertainments events such as workshops and demonstrations which will allow the participants to appreciate the most particular and precious techniques and the refined knowledge of the artisans.

CioccolatoAn even particularly loved by children, who will be able to participate to many teaching laboratories exclusively planned for the youngest, where they will be allowed to get their hands dirty of chocolate for once..

But this is also the occasion for adults to turn back children for once, and eat as much chocolate as you like (after all, it’s Valentine!), offered with a variety of exquisite specialties for all tastes: pralines, sacher cake, hot chocolates, mousse, liquors, filled chocolates, including the famous Modica  chocolate (a famous Sicilian chocolate) and the almond brittle of the Modenese Appennine.

Times and days: Thursday 14th from 16 to 20; Friday 15th from 16 to 20;  Sunday 16th from 10 to 20; Sunday 17th from 10 to 20.
