This Italian villa has been successfully rented by Salogi for over 20 years and, even if the owners update the property every year, the farmhouse kept its traditional Tuscan feel. Past clients have particularly appreciated this property as every bedroom has its own bathroom, the insulation system and the ceiling fans guarantee guests the perfect temperature even during summer and its location is perfect to explore this part of Tuscany. The swimming pool is located on a higher level in comparison to the house, thus perfect also for those looking for a Tuscany villa for rent for families with children.
The house has been restored with great attention to detail: the owners made sure to stay true to the Tuscan tradition when furnishing the house while equipping it with many comforts such as the well-equipped kitchen with a large American fridge, comfortable al fresco dining area, Wi-Fi connection and flat screen TV. One of the twin bedrooms (which can be made as a double upon request) is on the lower floor of this villa and can be accessed only via the garden; ideal for those looking to retain their privacy.
Damiano is located close by the village of San Martino in Freddana – a 5 minute drive from the property – where you will be able to find a few shops, food stores, restaurants, ice-cream shops etc. The seaside towns of Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta are a short drive away – here clients will be able to enjoy great food at one of the many restaurants, visit one of the beautiful art galleries in Pietrasanta or attend music events. In regards to music events in Lucca, apart from enjoying one of the greatest example of untouched twentieth century architecture and stunning 16th century city walls, during summer there are world renowned artists coming every year to play in this beautiful setting for the Lucca Summer Festival.

We had a wonderful time in Damiano. We stayed in this house with 3 couples. The location of the house and the pool is beautiful, the kitchen is well equipped. The house is beautifully furnished and a very nice cleaning service unobtrusively accompanied us. Excursions to the coast, to Florence, Volterra, Lucca etc. are easy from here.
We felt very comfortable and would like to thank the Salogi team for their great advice and support.
We have been booking here for a long time and are always satisfied. In challenging Corona times, the Saloggi team was very flexible. Originally we had booked La Lepraia with about 15 people. As our group had reduced due to Corona, we got very flexible support. Thanks to the Saloggi team from Worpswede near Bremen.

Carved into a rocky slope with terraces of olive trees above and below, looking out over the Versilian hills, surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds, constructed of tons of stone, brick, tile, cotto, and mortar — thick-walled, timber-ceilinged, spacious Damiano feels more like a castle than the restored farmhouse it is.
We found it by searching on line for five bedrooms and five baths, preferably with a pool. That quickly limits the options. The privacy, site, view, and Tuscan architecture all come as a bonus. Our grandchildren loved the pool while we favored the adjacent bower, and the dining bower outside the kitchen. (There is also an indoor dining room.) The road up the hill from the Camaiore Road is intimidating for an American driver (this one, anyway), but typical in Italy.
Aside from enjoying the place itself, in the course of our month we had first-rate assistance from the owner (Giovanni), the managing agency (Salogi Villas), the caretaker (Monica), and a local cook (Marinella). You you can engage Marinella by the meal, and you can pick from her menus wearing a blindfold because every item is delicious.
The local food market, Simply, is close by and has routine provisions plus a selection of basic household items. Storied, wall-girded Lucca is half an hour east, the beach resort of Viareggio about half an hour west, and Pisa about half an hour south. In other words, Damiano is the center of the universe.
