Description
Casa Fiora is a charming farmhouse with private swimming pool situated in a panoramic position up high on the hills between Lucca from the Versilian coast. This cosy property has been restored with respect to the Tuscan tradition, preserving the wood beam ceilings and the antique terracotta floors.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor of the house; two double bedrooms and one with twin beds. All have been equipped with portable fans and mosquito nets to make guests comfortable during summer.
The outside area is ideal to enjoy the countryside: Casa Fiora has two panoramic terraces that are ideal for dining "al fresco" . One of the terraces faces the swimming pool; the other is on the opposite side of the farmhouse, so there is always a shady area during the day.
The lovely swimming pool is placed in a superb position overlooking the surrounding hills and valleys.
For travellers looking to explore the Tuscan region, Casa Fiora is at easy reach of many Tuscan sightseeing. There is a small country village 5 minutes drive, ideal to food shops, grab an ice-cream or an International newspaper while at a short drive, clients can reach the beautiful walled city of Lucca, artsy town of Pietrasanta or the coastal resorts in Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. Furthermore, there is an extensive list of day trips that clients can do when staying at the villa; from visiting the magnificent monuments in Florence, to enjoy some wine in one of the most renowned wineries in Tuscany or admiring the leaning tower of Pisa. Casa Fiora is located only a few meters from Sorgente, one of the most popular farmhouses in our programme. The two properties can be rented together for groups up to 18 people.

We loved Casa Fiora and had a wonderful holiday. The house is very well maintained with all mod cons. We found the air temperature in this high up location a bit chilly in early June & needed sweaters in the evenings. Breath taking views down the valley. The house is stocked with DVD's which was an added bonus

Casa Fiora is magnificent!! It exceeds the photos on the website. It is beautifully decorated with high quality antiques and an attention to detail. It didn't feel like a rental at all. The owner obviously loves it and pays so much attention to all of the little details in the decorating and gardening. It felt like someone's much loved and cared-for home. It was well-kitted out and had everything we could wish for. The pool is wonderful! I had worried about it being unheated, as many are in Tuscany it seems, but I needn't have worried - it was the perfect temperature as the hot Italian weather heats it. If you were heating it, you would have set it to exactly that temperature. It was perfect! It is lightly salted, which is much, much nicer than chlorine. We were over the moon with it and everything in the house. There are 3 beds and 3 bathrooms, 2 of which have showers and the other has a bathtub with handheld shower. More than enough for the number of rooms. They are not in the bedrooms as ensuites, which means everyone can share them, which is very nice. The kitchen is amply supplied too. The location is absolutely perfect! It is 20 minutes to Lucca, about 35 to Pisa, less than an hour to Florence and an hour to Viareggio and Cinque Terre. It is up a winding road into the mountains, so you have a gorgeous view of the hills and you can see right down to Lucca. The pool has the most wonderful view of Lucca in the distance. Nicoletta comes in to clean the house 3 times (mon/wed/fri). She is lovely!!! She will help if you need anything, and she even gives you a little local mobile phone in case you want to ring her. There is wifi there too.

I just wanted to give you some quick feedback on Casa Fiora. All I can say is WOW! It was a lovely lovely villa and exactly what we were looking for - private and peaceful, beautiful views, spotlessly clean, and a lovely home from homes. The villa was equipped with absolutely everything we could need and we had a wonderful stay. During our time there, we needed to take our son to a hospital and the owners were unbelievably helpful in seeing we got to the right place. We truly couldn't say enough good things.

This is a stunning place. Extraordinary views, amazing wildlife (the garden was FULL of fireflies), beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It takes a bit of finding - the road up the mountain is steep and wiggly - but the view across the valley is worth it. The housekeeper, Nicoletta, is great. We were greeted by vases of fresh flowers and bunches of herbs and she made us feel welcome and looked after. The pool is saline filtered, so no nasty chemicals and the garden is very pretty. Beds are comfy and amenities all work well. Highly recommended.
