Only residents of these farmhouses have access, through gates, to one of the most exclusive beaches in Tuscany, where the "Pinky Code", named after Baroness Mosterts de Banfield, daughter of the legendary Red Baron and former owner of the entire area, still survives . This code means no plastic, no garish colors, no fluttering towels, no noise. The beach was meant to resemble a living room. There's an atmosphere of a lost paradise, a sign of an ancient privilege that still distinguishes those with exclusive access to the sea from those confined to the noisy and peak-season Italian crowded beaches.
