Hence Ricavoli is not only perfect for those looking to explore the region but also for sport lovers: there are a horse-riding school 1km away and the renowned Ugolino Golf club is just a 30-minute drive from the house. Even if in a very private location, this farmhouse is a short drive from shops (6.5km) and to a restaurant (2.5km).
The exteriors are well kept and the swimming pool is set in the most panoramic point of the estate on a higher level in comparison to the house. The pool has been equipped with a salt water system, ideal for those looking to avoid chlorine. There is a lovely veranda in front of the house, very loved by past clients who enjoyed their al fresco meals here. The spacious and airy interior has been furnished with with great taste. Past travellers have particularly enjoyed spending time together playing pool in the large billiard room or table tennis in the mezzanine floor. Ricavoli can host up to 12 guests, there are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. On the first floor there are three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and two bedrooms sharing a bathroom. The sixth bedroom has an independent access from the garden and it has an ensuite bathroom, this is ideal for those looking for complete privacy while spending time with their friends/family.
Florence is a city full of art and it offers a wide range of sights from the renowned Duomo and Uffizi to the great museums of Museo dell'Accademia to the Palazzo Strozzi. Beautiful house, located in nature. Nice pool there, spacious kitchen.
An old house, which made it a bit dated. Beds get an insufficient in terms of sleeping comfort. The house and garden / pool are well maintained. It takes some getting used to that the supervisors are in the house every day, but afterwards also very nice, because the bathrooms and toilets were cleaned every day. So kudos to Rebecca and Luciano!!

Ricavoli was perfect for us! Beginning with the wonderful Tuscan welcome meal that Rebecca prepared for us, continuing with many local outings and train trips from Rignano sull Arno to Florence, and ending on a relaxing Friday around the pool, it couldn't have been better. Please extend our thanks to Rebecca for that dinner and for the many services she provided. We dined in, we dined out, we played pool, we swam in the pool, we played table tennis, we walked the grounds and enjoyed the Views. WE had quite an interesting time relating the history of Ricavoli to the various sections of the villa. It was the perfect blend of modern and ancient.
Thank you for all of your assistance it bringing this all together for us. All eight of us loved it! Even the remote location, back on the small gravel road, added to our liking for the place. The ONE thing I would suggest? Repair the driveway up to the villa, our small cars had a hard time getting over the rutted, bumpy access.

A fanstic week in a great villa. The vill had all of the possibile ameneties we could ask for. We spent the days lying by the pool and evenings eating outside near the BBQ. We could the villa extremely spacious and even though there was 12 of us never felt crowded in anyway.

I thought you would like to know that we had a great holiday at Ricavoli and everyone enjoyed staying there. The pool was very good and well looked after. The house is very well appointed with everything one needs, also it is not so posh that you have to be extremely careful with children that nothing is dirtied. Rebecca is a charming person and was very kind to us. I would like to thank you for being so patient and answering my endless questions and organising everything so efficiently.

Martin, Although rather delayed, wanted to let you know how much the 11 members of our family enjoyed the "villa in Tuscany"! It really was delightful and something we shall all remember for the rest of our days. Already several friends are beginning to think about doing the same thing!
