Fontanelle is a charming villa with a private swimming pool located close by the village of Montalcino, famous worldwide for its beauty and red wine production among which Brunello di Montalcino. This property is ideal for wine lovers as it is close to many well-known vineyards offering daily tours. Fontanelle is positioned in a spectacular position surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, cypresses and with views of the surrounding hills.

The owner, a renowned Italian Architect and Interior Designer, has furnished Fontanelle at a very high standard. Because of its charming style, the house has been featured in several books and magazines, including House and Garden, Elle Decor and Tuscany Interiors. The rooms have been painted and furnished throughout in natural colors, which blend perfectly with the brick tiled floors, exposed beams, and sunny open spaces. The bedrooms in the main house have been equipped with air-conditioning

One of the highlights of the house is its magnificent living room with vaulted ceilings opens to the rear of the house to a pretty terrace with vines, pots of flowers and views over the countryside. Furthermore, there is a one-of-a-kind terrace overlooking the outside surrounding countryside ideal for al-fresco dining.

For those looking to enjoy traditional Tuscan food, there is a list of several excellent restaurants close by. One of the wineries close by most loved by travelers is Castello Banfi Relais Chateaux where guests can taste the excellent wine as well as dine in one of its two restaurants.
Val d'Orcia, Crete Senesi, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni (hot springs), Monte amiata (natura trekking, hiking etc), Bagni San Filippo (charming natural hot springs) are a short drive away. Furthermore, Fontanelle is one hour drive from Siena, one hour drive from the seaside and an hour and a half from the renowned golf course of Punta Ala.

For smaller groups, Fontanelle can be rented for 10 people ( Fontanelle 10) as well as for larger for 14 or 16 guests (Fontanelle 16)

Please note that there might be a cat who lives in the garden, hence Fontanelle is not suggested to travelers with severe allergies to animal fur.
