Magrini, gelegen op een van de meest gerenommeerde wijn- en olijfolielandgoederen in de regio Lucca, is een charmante boerderij met een privézwembad, een prachtig uitzicht op het platteland en een echt authentieke Toscaanse ervaring. Het landgoed bruist van charme en levendigheid, verrijkt niet alleen door gasten maar ook door de aanwezigheid van de geliefde dieren van de eigenaren. Onder hen bevinden zich een zachtaardige pony, een schattige familie ezels, een levendige groep van vijftien nieuwsgierige katten en een schildpad die vredig bij de fontein verblijft. Het echte hoogtepunt van het landgoed is echter Lampo – de vriendelijke en aanhankelijke Duitse herder van het landgoed – die vrij rondloopt en bezoekers hartelijk verwelkomt.

We had a wonderful vacation in Magrini this September. The villa has the feeling of seclusion as the last 1km of road is unpaved, but provides stunning views across the valley filled with vineyards and olive trees. The villa itself is well equipped and the pool area provides a great opportunity to relax and unwind. Make sure you join in the wine tasting, the tour was very interesting. We had a great time there we are sure you will too.

Heerlijk huis met eigen zwembad. Wel ver van winkels en niet zonder auto te doen. Prachtige plek.
Lovely house with a private pool. However, it's far from shops and not manageable without a car. Beautiful location.

We wanted to get in touch to say what a wonderful week we enjoyed at Villa Magrini for the second year. We adore the villa and the area, but the staff really make our stay extra special. Sabrina, Rossana and every member of staff we met were so welcoming and helpful, we can't thank them enough. We would love to return to Fattoria Fubbiano!

This property was perfect for the 5 of us - lots of space and the pool was perfect. All we could have done with was an extra armchair or sofa as not enough comfortable indoor seating for 5 adults. Outdoors there was plenty of choice of deckchairs and dining garden furniture. The wine tasting and tour was a highlight of our stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Villa Magrini for three months from June to September 2023, choosing it for it's location between Firenze and Lucca. We found that you did not have to travel far to experience interesting hilltop towns, access local markets or tour historic villas and parks or sample wines and olive oils from vineyards adjacent Fattoria di Fubbiano. To travel further we used the excellent train system that operates in Tuscany using the station at nearby Pescia as our starting point. From here we embarked on trips to Firenze, Venice, Salerno, Carrara, Lucca and Livorno etc. On the other side of the travel Villa Magrini provided a place of very quiet solitude. The private pool was magnificent, especially during warm periods although we always found we had a breeze coming up the valley. To support our resting periods we found the Fubbiano wines to be well priced, of good quality and very quaffable.
Enhancing our stay the staff at Fubbiano provided friendly and efficient service and met our every request. The place was also kept immaculately clean by twice weekly servicing.
In summary our experience at Villa Magrini was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Super helpful host, well-kept and beautifully located house with a nice pool! Really nice service with the local wine as a welcome and thorough cleaning of both house and pool several times during our stay. A short but steep walk up the mountain leads to a small town with a nice bar/restaurant - highly recommended.

Excellent place. Quiet, great landscape. Chiara, who is taking care of guests, is very warm and welcoming. Nice wine you can buy from fattoria. Perfect location for day trips to Pisa (highly recommend Marina di Pisa if you need sea), Lucca is 15 min away, Firenze, etc. We are considering to come back next year.
