Deze villa met privézwembad, gelegen aan de rand van het kleine dorpje Volpaia, is ideaal voor wie op zoek is naar een unieke Toscaanse ervaring. Je kunt hier genieten van de eeuwenoude geschiedenis van het dorp, gecombineerd met alle moderne gemakken. In het dorpje, op slechts 300 meter lopen van het huis, kun je genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd in de Osteria die door vele gastronomische gidsen wordt geprezen, of van de lokale keuken in een eenvoudiger restaurant. Bovendien kun je ook kooklessen van een halve dag volgen, brood kopen bij de plaatselijke bakker of de voortreffelijke lokale wijnen proeven. Gasten van La Pozza di Volpaia kunnen een gratis wijnproeverij regelen.
Het Castello di Volpaia is een prachtig wijndomein dat gerenommeerde Chianti Classico-wijnen produceert. In 2018 werd de Chianti Classico uit 2015 door Wine Spectator uitgeroepen tot de derde beste wijn ter wereld!
Hoewel deze stenen villa heel dicht bij het dorp ligt, bevindt ze zich op een afgelegen en privé gelegen plek op het landgoed. Gasten die op vakantie zijn bij La Pozza di Volpaia kunnen dus hun auto laten staan en tijdens hun vakantie helemaal tot rust komen. Vanuit deze boerderij kun je genieten van prachtige uitzichten op het Toscaanse landschap , vooral vanaf het zwembad. Eerdere gasten hebben vooral genoten van dineren onder de schaduwrijke pergola in de tuin. Er kan een kookservice in de villa worden geregeld, zowel voor de lunch als het diner, voor wie een unieke culinaire ervaring wil beleven.
Het interieur is zeer smaakvol gerestaureerd met traditionele materialen, gecombineerd met modern comfort, waaronder satelliettelevisie en een goed uitgeruste keuken. Vier van de zes slaapkamers van het huis hebben een eigen badkamer.
Ook al heb je tijdens je verblijf in La Pozza di Volpaia bijna alles wat je nodig hebt binnen handbereik, is de ligging van de villa ookideaal om Toscane te verkennen. Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Arezzo en alle beroemde dorpjes in de Chianti liggen allemaal op korte rijafstand van Pozza di Volpaia.

We traveled to Volpaia and stayed at Pozza in May of this year. It was our second time to stay at this lovely villa. The baths and bedrooms have been renovated since our first stay in 2018. We were a group of nine and our visit was excellent. The house is somewhat secluded from the hamlet of Volpaia but there are two or three restaurants within a couple of hundred yards walking distance. We were fortunate to have Donika agree to cook for us for five of seven day visit. Her meals were more than enough reason to stay there. All I can say is that the villa and grounds were fantastic. The views from the pool area were wonderful. We're already planning a return.

The villa was fabulous, perfect for our family of 6 including a 2 year old who loved running in the yard! Having our dinners cooked was a real treat and enjoyed all the great food and care. But the most stunning part was the unbelievable view from the pool! Truly the best view in Tuscany and we have explored Tuscany!! Relaxing, fun and a great family experience with memories that will last a lifetime!!

The villa was great for us, we spent a very chill week with friends. The view from the pool was incredible with full sun from mid morning to about 4pm. Dominika the housekeeper was a real plus to keep the house clean day after day. No AC in the Villa but we were provided with Fans to keep some air running at night. Very nice traditional italien restaurant just a few minutes away in the old Tuscan village of volpaia and a great hike in the Tuscan forest and vineyards starts right next to the house.

The villa is imaculate and has every comfort. The location is fabulous with just a short stroll to the square where there are three wonderful places to eat and drink. We were on a special family holiday and this was enhanced by the housekeeper-Donita who is an absolute treasure. She couldn't have been more helpful and her cooking is Devine. Long to return as do all the family ranging in ages from 7 to 60!

The wonderful experience at La Pozza di Volpaia sets the standard for all Vacation in Tuscany. The gated villa is well appointed with a large kitchen and homey indoor and outdoor spaces. There were 10 of us in our party, and the lovely bedrooms and ensuite baths were very quiet and private. The housekeeper, Donika , was friendly and an excellent ambassador for Volpaia and Tuscany. We opted to have Donika prepare a dinner which we highly recommend. The locally sourced chicken, vegetables, etc. were all hand made and delicious. Just like our Grandmother used to make. The town has 3 restaurants, a winery & olive oil press, and a local honey shop! If you aren't staying in Volpaia, it's a short drive from Radda and well worth stopping for a wine tasting or a great meal with Paola at Bar Ucci. We look forward to returning to Volpaia!

“We held a family reunion with 8 adults and 2 children in this town of Volpaia that was everything one would hope for a memorable Italian vacation. The Villa is a lovely country house, very private but steps away from the center of the lovely hamlet of Volpaia. There are 3 excellent restaurants within a very short walking distance from the villa. The town centers around organic wine making and produces some of the most delicious chianti in the area. Our Villa came with daily housekeeping services provided by one of the best features of our stay, Donnika. She helped us with many aspects of our stay and made recommendations for some easy day trips in the area. We exercised the option of hiring her to cook and had one of our most memorable and delicious meals of the trip. From the zucchini squash blossoms, roast chicken, her chocolate tort, Volpaia Chianti then add one of the most beautiful views of the region, we felt lucky to have selected this location for our family.”

Thoroughly recommend this house to anyone. This is a stunning villa in an amazing location in the heart of Tuscany at the borders of Siena and Firenze's province. People in the little village of Volpaia are lovely there are three amazing restaurants at walking distance from the house and stunning places all around. It was 11 of us including two children, the house is big enough to have us all without disturbing each other, we had really great lovely time.

We are back from a superb two weeks in one of the most beautiful regions ever - Chianti. The Pozza di Volpia was terrific and everyone of our group had a wonderful time. We had not expected quite so much climbing, but quickly became accustomed to the hills and after a day or two found out legs and began to enjoy the ups as well as the exciting downs. A wonderful cycling venue.. We learned a lot about the hamlet and winery from Alecia and actually met the owner. That Volpaia is a destination of choice for lunch was news to us but very understandable. I would like to bring to your attention the extraordinary contribution to our holiday by Donika Jahaj. We had no idea what a wonderful cook she was and when we discovered what a jewel we had we ended up having her cook five delicious meals for us. She went above and beyond all expectations and we all agreed that truly home cooked Tuscan meals were one of the high lights of our trip. (...)

We loved our stay at Villa Pozza and would go back in a heartbeat! Spacious farm house with lots of doors to the outside and a good layout. The surrounding garden, pool and view are gorgeous. We went for our 50th wedding anniversary with our 2 children and their families - 10 of us.We all wished we could have stayed longer. There is so much to see and do near-by and it's also just the most beautiful town and villa to relax in.

Excellent does not describe our stay at La Pozza di Volpaia, it is truly an enchanting place to call "home" for any length of stay! The highlight of our trip was the cooking class with Govianella. We all learned a tremendous amount about cooking and the winery at Volpaia. We then dined on the multi course meal with "Jo" paired with the ourstanding wines of Voplaia.
