Wir verbrachten wunderbare 3 Wochen in Al Mennucci. Das Haus, der Pool und die fantastische Aussicht - hervorragend! Es war alles sauber und die gesamte Technik funktionierte einwandfrei. Aus eigener Erfahrung wissen wir, dass das nicht selbstverständlich ist.
Paola, die liebenswürdige Eigentümerin, sah regelmäßig nach dem Rechten, Wäsche und Betten wurden jede Woche neu gemacht.
Wir haben außer der etwas abenteuerlichen Zufahrt nichts auszusetzen und würden gerne wiederkommen!
We spent wonderful 3 weeks at Al Mennucci. The house, the pool, and the fantastic view – excellent! Everything was clean, and all the technology worked flawlessly. From our own experience, we know that this is not a given.
Paola, the lovely owner, regularly checked everything, and laundry and beds were changed every week.
Apart from the slightly adventurous access road, we have no complaints and would love to come back!

The villa is located at the end of a relatively steep private road. Be careful when driving up that you don't sit up with the car. But the climb is worth it!
The villa is beautifully embedded on a mountain in the middle of the most beautiful nature! The furnishings are very rustic, which gives the whole thing its typical character.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (from the whisk to the colander, lemon squeezer, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, microwave, etc.) Nothing is missing!
The outdoor area is also very nicely laid out and you really feel at home up here.
We had an amazing holiday, with many great hours and will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Al Menucci. It’s a beautifully maintained home and property. Plenty of space for three couples. Beautiful views from the pool and garden. The pizza oven is an added bonus. It has plenty of linens and a well appointed kitchen. Plus there’s a grocery store a short distance away.

Perchée sur les hauteurs de Lucca, la demeure domine la vallée et offre un panorama dantesque (c'est de circonstance). Le qualité des prestations (propreté, entretien du jardin et de la piscine, appareils domestiques, literie, sanitaires) est élevée : tout est parfait. La personne qui s'occupe de la maison passe 2 fois dans la semaine pour vérifier l'ensemble. Précision : ce paradis se mérite après un chemin de terre de 1km. Bref, ce fut une excellente semaine dans de non moins excellentes conditions. Merci beaucoup.

Another week at Al Mennucci has come to the end. Thank you for keeping this property available for visitors. We have been travelling around Italy for the last 15 years, and this is by far the best place to stay!
Why?:
The well maintained house and garden, the view over Montecatini Terme, day and night.
The pizza oven and grill, with the tools needed to use it properly. And Wood!
The well equipped kitchen, with everything needed to make meals. We don’t miss anything!!
It’s been a marvelous stay, once again!

We had very nice holidays, thank you! the property is a 10 min ride dirth road up the hill through a forest and olive trees from the next village. it is very calm with a stunning view and the property is kept very clean by the land lord. we were there in the early season (beginning June) and the walls were still very cold which made the house smell a bit. with turning on the heating the smell disappeared soom. thanks for the pleasent stay!”

After spending hours online looking for a place to stay to celebrate my mums 50th I decided to book this place - I couldn't have chosen better!! From the moment I booked right through to the day we left, everything was perfect!! Simona, the lady who dealt with our booking could not have been better!! She even contacted the car hire company on my behalf! We staying here for a week in May (6 adults and 1 child), and had an amazing week!! The house was amazing, very clean and had everything you need and more! The grounds and pool area were great - the BBQ and pizza oven were fantastic! The view as you come up the drive way is incredible - there are a few tight corners on the road up however this accommodation is totally worth the slightly scary drive up!! I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone! It's in a great location close to both Luca and Pisa. Paula, the lady who owns the accommodation is lovely - she came to clean the villa on a few occasions throughout the week! Great place and would return.

Paola was warm and welcoming, having Chef Graziella come and cook for us was an amazing evening. Everyone left saying that was an highlight of the trip. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

The location in Tuscany was serene and the Villa beautiful. We all enjoyed the Lucca area. We did a lot of touring and found navigation of the area to be manageable. Almost universally we found the people to be friendly and helpful. As stated above, our Villa was lovely and unique, with any number of thoughtful details, in genera meeting or exceeding expectations. Our local contact, Paola, was extremely friendly and helpful. The area around Pieve de Compito is attractive with loads of touring options

En plus nous avons sollicité les services du chef Stefano qui nous a régalé de très bons petits plats ....nous garderons de très bons souvenirs et espérons y revenir. We loved Al Mennucci! Perfect location, gorgeous view, wonderful setting...best vacation ever! Just be aware the road is a bit tough to navigate up to the house, but if you can rough it up, it is worth it!

We had a fantastic time at Al Mennucci! Right from the start - the instructions to get to this Villa were fantastic - very detailed. As Al Mennucci is a bit hard to find (quite isolated and quiet - a good thing) having these instructions where extremely valuable. The road up to Al Mennucci is very rough - you definitely need a good vehicle. Once there - the villa is everything you see in the photos. The pool is wonderful. We used the Outdoor Wood or Coal Burning BBQ every night. All beds and all rooms are nice. The Kitchen is extremely well equipped. The villa is incredibly clean and neat - and someone comes every Mon,Wed and Fri to clean up. After you drive down the hill to the main road - there are good and inexpensive restaurants within a 5min drive as well as a well stocked grocery store (a EuroSpar). We had a fantastic time - and we are already planning our trip for next year. Thank you Al Mennucci!

Tolle Lage mit einem wunderschönen Blick in die Weite. Das Haus liegt sehr romantisch auf einer Anhöhe, die Naturstrasse ist für geübte Fahrer kein Problem, Geländewagen bevorzugt. Sehr ruhig und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Anfang Oktober konnte man den Pool noch benutzen. Wir haben die Ruhe und die Freiheit mit unseren Hunden sehr genossen. Die Inhaberin ist überaus freundlich und hat sogar für uns eingekauft und gekocht, Italienisch Kentnisse sind von Vorteil. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

all in all it was a great holiday. we have come back relaxed and tanned (but not tanned for long given the weather here!). feedback as requested: 1. al mennucci: we would rent it again, certainly, and recommend to friends. a few notes/comments: the road up is definitely rough but the view is worth it. nearest neighbour has a dog which sounded/looked aggressive (not sure if this is reality or just appearances) which limited us from doing many walks up/down the hill. mosquitoes are definitely an issue - comes with remote/wooded location - but can be managed with citronella/etc. may be worth noting this so people can come prepared. chlorine in pool was very strong and all my three kids did not want to swim by the end of the week due to skin rashes, etc. - may be a note to paola to see if she can use something not quite as a strong. and utilities - we lost power and water for 4 hours one day due to city works, and lost water two other times for about 1 hour each - i think this is just the way it is in italy but worth noting. but, on the whole, this is a quality property and we preferred it to the one we rented in provence last year - even though it was much smaller. this is certainly a family home, and feels like it - paola was there every day checking on us and making sure we were okay, she was lovely to the kids and it really felt like we were in italy and not just another hotel room. and she was able to tell us what was going on with the utilities within 30 minutes of ringing the Salogi office, which was very prompt. her english is about as good as my italian (i.e. not so good), but somehow we managed and even had a few laughs! one last note: the location is perfect - everything within reach. florence 40 mins, lucca 20 mins, pisa 40 mins, cinque terre 2 hours. we did all this and still managed to relax! and the eurospar was only a few minutes down the road which was great for filling the fridge.
