Deze charmante en elegante villa met privézwembad ligt op een prachtige en rustige locatie, op slechts een paar kilometer van het dorp Montalcino. Deze streek staat wereldwijd bekend om zijn uitstekende wijnproductie en gasten kunnen een rondleiding regelen bij enkele van de omliggende wijnhuizen, inclusief wijnproeverij. Op slechts vijf minuten rijden (3,5 km) ligt het beroemde Castello Banfi; hier kunnen gasten de wijnkelders en het dorpje bezoeken, genieten van de heerlijke wijn en hun balsamicoazijn proeven, en lunchen of dineren in een van hun uitstekende restaurants.
De eigenaar, een gerenommeerde Italiaanse architect en interieurontwerper, heeft de villa volledig volgens de Toscaanse traditie gerestaureerd en ingericht met een indrukwekkende combinatie van meubels die hij zelf heeft ontworpen en enkele antieke stukken. De foto's van deze woning zijn in de loop der jaren in vele interieurmagazines gepubliceerd. Eerdere gasten hebben enorm genoten van het interieur van de villa, vooral van de ruime zitgedeeltes en de grote eettafel.
Alle slaapkamers op de eerste verdieping hebben airconditioning en op verzoek zijn er nog twee draagbare units beschikbaar, waardoor deze villa ook tijdens de warmste zomerdagen comfortabel is.
Dankzij de rustige ligging van de villa kunnen gasten volledig ontspannen terwijl ze genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op de Val d'Orcia en de Crete Senesi, die door velen worden beschouwd als de mooiste delen van Toscane.
De ligging van Lavacchio is ideaal voor het bezoeken van de bekendste Toscaanse dorpen en steden zoals Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, Pitigliano, Pienza, Cortona, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Florence enz.
Het pand bestaat uit de stenen hoofdboerderij van het landgoed en een slaapkamer met eigen badkamer in het gastenverblijf. Er kunnen tegen meerprijs nog 3 slaapkamers met eigen badkamer worden gehuurd, waardoor er plaats is voor maximaal 18 personen.

Tourist tax is applied in most Italian municipalities. This tax is by law to be fully paid by the holidaymakers. The amount varies from municipality to municipality and it must be paid upon arrival directly to the caretaker /owner. Unfortunately, the amount may be subject to change even after the booking is confirmed.

The Villa is roomy and nicely furnished, and the swimming pool,accessed through the vineyard, was a great feature--especially for the grandkids. My only suggestion is that the owner upgrade the gravel access road. It is just too rough and bumpy.

Wonderful villa. We were a group of 11, older people down to 5-year old, and the villa was perfect for everyone. The building itself is extraordinary, the view spectacular, and the pool very nice.

We just returned from a week at Lavacchio...what an amazing property! The villa itself is exactly as photographed. The owners have done a superb job furnishing every room. We were 9 adults and 3 children and were more than comfortable in the space without booking the additional two rooms. The location just outside of Montalcino is spectacular. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants, as well as two cooked meals on property prepared by the lovely groundskeeper. The villa is equipped with Wifi and has three dining tables...kitchen, dining room and a lovely covered area off of the kitchen. The pool was great...seems to have some sort of leak and chairs could stand to be updated, but that would be my only criticism. I searched for months to find a villa and I can honestly say this one is close to perfect!

This is our third stay at this beautiful villa and we feel like we are coming "home" when we arrive. The villa is situated in a spectacular position to enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with views of the Banfi castle and the small village of Camigliano across the valley. The caretaker for the villa, Tiziana, is very helpful and is a wonderful cook as well. The wine made from the vineyards on the property is excellent and we are so appreciative that the wine makers share it with us. The ability to rent additional rooms if the group is larger provides great flexibility when booking this villa. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Italy and would highly recommend it.

We stayed at Villa Lavacchio in 2010 and returned this year for 2 weeks. It is a beautiful property and the location near Montalcino is spectacular. Very private with wonderful views of nearby Camigliano and Banfi Castle. It is a very comfortable villa with lots of space for a group to spread out. The pool is located on a hill overlooking the villa and the nearby valleys, and is a great vantage point for spectacular sunsets. The caretaker of the property, Tiziana, is wonderful and also a great cook. I highly recommend this property and will continue to return for my holidays in Tuscany.

Lavacchio has a beautiful setting, very quiet and peaceful. Out of the way but easily accessible to many locations. It is a large house and comfortable for a group. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Lavacchio is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany and the villa is wonderful. The views of the countryside are spectacular from every part of the property, the rooms are all comfortable and well appointed with furnishings. This property is a beautiful place to spend your vacation in Tuscany. We will definitely return for many more vacations at this very special villa.
